Land Manager: Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA, Georgia DNR

Area Rep: position open

Lost Wall is located in northwest Georgia near the city of Lafayette, Georgia.

The cliff is aptly named as it is barely visible from the road in the valley. But take a trip up the mountain and you will find one of Georgia’s hidden gems. A sandstone fortress with 80 ft. walls awaits the climbers who want to venture out and explore.

Lost Wall resides in the Crockford Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management Area. A hunting or fishing license is required to visit any area within the WMA (Lost Wall, Rocktown, Zahnd). You can buy daily or annual licenses. The best option for climbers include the hunting, fishing or annual lands pass. All licenses include camping.

Lost Wall closes a few times each Fall season for hunting. We will post closures on our site or you can find them here.

Crockford-Pigeon Mountain (Rocktown, Lost Wall, and Zahnd) have announced their 2018 hunting closure dates:

October 13-14
November 8-10
December 5-8

No climbing is allowed during these dates.
